Two clocks, and we keep both
A signature taken offline has the time the device says and the time we received it, and the certificate shows both with the difference between them. A tool that quietly stamped everything with the upload time would be easier to build and would be misrepresenting when the person actually signed. A device claiming a time in the future is refused outright.

Does it really work with no connection?
Yes. The app queues the signature and sends it when it can. The evidence records the device's time as a claim and ours as the fact, and says which is which.
Can the homeowner sign on their own phone instead?
Yes — text them the link and they sign on theirs. On a driveway that is often slower, which is why the tech's device is the default.
Can I take a deposit at the same time?
Not through us. Payments are your processor's and we are not going to sit in the middle of them.
