Where it goes wrong
Not a feature list. These are the three moments this exists for.
The Saturday queue
Twelve people at the counter, half of them with a lane booked and half of them walk-ins, and every one needs a waiver before anybody goes through the door. A clipboard makes that queue longer every single weekend.
The annual nobody can check
The waiver is good for a year. Nobody knows which members are inside that year and which are not, so either everybody signs every visit, which is slow, or nobody does, which is worse.
The guest who signed something in 2019
They are back, they are certain they signed, and you have a filing cabinet with four years of paper in it sorted by nothing in particular.
What happens instead
Sign once, for the year
The waiver says the period it covers, and you set the same period on the template. A member who signed in March is found by name on the counter tablet, which says whether their year is still good; a member whose year has run out signs again at the counter, in under a minute, or on their own phone from the reminder they were emailed a fortnight before.
A QR on the door for the walk-up
They sign on their own phone while they are queueing, not on your clipboard when they reach the front. The counter reads the list and carries on.
The minor and the responsible adult, named together
A guardian consent that names which adult is supervising on the line today, and an adult whose own waiver is signed. Two documents, one link, one answer at the counter.

Questions
Can a waiver cover a whole year rather than a visit?
Yes. The document says the period it covers, you set the same period on the template, and every signed waiver then says whether it is still good and the day it runs out -- on the documents list, at the counter and at the gate. Each member can be emailed the form to sign again before theirs ends. Whether an annual term is wise where you operate is a question for your insurer and your attorney.
Does an electronic waiver hold up the way paper does?
An electronic signature is a signature under the E-SIGN Act and under UETA, and the thing that decides whether one holds is the evidence: what was shown, when, from what device and network, and that the person meant to sign. That record is stronger than a signature on a clipboard, which proves only that ink exists.
What about a minor shooting with a parent?
The guardian consent names the minor, the guardian and the responsible adult supervising on the line, and that adult signs a waiver of their own. Both are on the record and both are found by name at the counter.
Can members check themselves in on a tablet?
Yes. The tablet app locks to one workflow, resets between people and reaches nothing else in the account, which is the point of a counter terminal rather than a browser on a stand.
