Where it goes wrong
Not a feature list. These are the three moments this exists for.
Sixty people in a car park at seven in the morning
Signing them in on paper takes forty minutes of a four-hour build day, and it is done by a volunteer coordinator who would rather be building. The stack goes in a tote and the tote goes in a cupboard.
The youth trip and the parent who is not there
Fifteen young people, an overnight, a van, and consent forms that came back in nine different states of completeness. The one you need at two in the morning is the medical authorisation you never chased.
The board asks what you have on file
Insurers, grantmakers and boards all ask the same question in different words: can you show that the people doing this work agreed to the terms and were told the risks. A cupboard is not an answer.

We do not run background checks
A volunteer waiver can record that somebody consented to a check; it cannot be the check. Screening for work with children or vulnerable adults is a regulated service from a provider who does it properly, and what your state requires differs. We hold the consent and the record of it, and we will never imply somebody has been screened when all that exists is a signature.

Is a volunteer waiver worth anything?
It does two jobs. It records that the person was told what the work involves and agreed to the terms, which matters to an insurer and a board regardless of what a court later does with the release clause. And it settles, in writing, that the person is a volunteer rather than an employee — which is a question that has cost organisations a great deal more than an injury ever did.
Can a nonprofit be exempt from sales tax on its subscription?
If you hold a valid exemption certificate for your state, yes. There is a form on the billing screen: upload the certificate, an operator checks it, and tax stops being charged from the date it is approved. We do not decide whether you qualify — your state does.
What about a facility use agreement for an outside group?
Same shape. The group signs the agreement and the insurance acknowledgment before the keys change hands, and the booking carries the signed copy.
